Fan Theories…

Now that Winter is here, I’ve been reading a lot of fan theories online and on Facebook. I’d like to share some of the most popular and I’d love to hear from anyone what you think or what your own theories might be!!  I’m just a big Game Of Thrones geek! I MUST read the books!!

Let’s start with Jon Snow….Is he going to make it to the end? Will he sit on the Iron Throne? Will he ride one of the dragons?

I know a lot of folks believe he’s a Targaryen, BUT what if he’s a Baratheon?! It is possible! Robert Baratheon was in love with and betrothed to Jon’s mother Lyanna Stark. The show has only confirmed who Jon’s mother is. It leads us to believe that Rhaegar Targaryen is Jon’s father. But what if he’s not?!

Jon has dark eyes and dark hair…the opposite traits of the Targaryens.  Maybe Lyanna really was kidnapped by Rhaegar instead of eloping with him. I don’t think there are any DNA tests in Westeros so we’ll have to wait and see! By the way…I read The Baratheons also have Targaryen blood, so that could explain the connection between Jon and the dragons if he turns out to be a Baratheon.

It’s been theorized that the Night King will kill one of the dragons. Please…no dragon deaths! I don’t really have any Khaleesi theories other than she won’t be the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms. Just a feeling I have. If you haven’t seen any of this seasons episodes, I’ll just say one of the best scenes of the whole series (in my opinion) happens this season! Dracarys!! Don’t make me sic my dragon on you!

Oh Cersei! She truly is turning into the Mad Queen. Who will take her out? Jamie? Tyrion? Arya? Please someone just do it!

A popular theory making the rounds is that Gendry is the son of Robert Baratheon and Cersei. In one of the earlier seasons she talks about giving birth to a dark haired baby boy who dies. She could have had him  taken away and replaced him with a stillborn baby before Robert found out. She hated Robert so it makes sense she wouldn’t want to have his child around as a reminder or an heir. Switching him with another baby though would take some effort and leave witnesses. It would be more like Cersei to just murder the baby at birth but then again, her only redeeming quality is that she loves her children…maybe even one she didn’t want. Regardless….Gendry is back!!

I think Littlefinger will die and Arya is the girl to do the job. I don’t think Jorah will make it to the series end either. Sansa is becoming the Cersei of the North. I don’t believe Tywin was Tyrion’s father.  I feel Sam will play a major role in how the series ends, but I’m not sure how. Maybe he’s the one telling the story all along. Bran may well be the Night King…but who can tell with all the confusing time travel.

Hopefully all that going back and forth thru time will change the future and we’ll see Ned Stark and Hodor again! Let’s just hope it doesn’t result in Joffrey sitting on the Iron Throne when the series ends!

Winter Is Here…

Winter will be here Sunday, July 16….for those not familiar with the saying, that means Game Of Thrones Season 7 premiers Sunday night! I’m super excited! I can’t wait to see what stories will be told this season.

There are lots of fan theories out there such as R + L = J….Rhaegar + Lyanna = Jon!  If I remember correctly, Varys brought Ned paper and ink when he was arrested. Could he have written Jon a letter about his mother? Does Varys still have the letter? Could Jon be a Baratheon and not a Targaryen? We know nothing…yet!

Let’s talk about Bran for a minute…Bran is now the three eyed raven. The former told him he would fly. As ravens, yes….but could it be possible that Bran is actually the Night King from the past? If Bran is time traveling “flying” is he seeing different versions of himself from different time periods? Was the Night King a Stark ancestor? Will Bran change something in the past and when he wakes up, Ned Stark will be ruler of the Seven Kingdoms? Could Bran be controlling everything that happens in Game Of Thrones? (Does the concept of time traveling and its effects confuse everyone else as much as it does me)?

Could Cersei and Jamie actually be Targaryens and Tyrion be the only legitimate son of Tywin Lannister? They are  both blonde and Tywin would turn over in his grave if Tyrion were his only heir. Or could Tyrion be half Targaryen and that’s why the dragons didn’t harm him when he unchained them?

Speaking of Jamie…I have a feeling he will hold the title of Queenslayer along with Kingslayer! He and Cersei’s inscestuous love affair has come to an end. Of that I’m certain!

I’m not sure what to think about Daenarys anymore. She’s still one of my favorite characters and I always wanted her to sit on the Iron Throne, but I’m not sure she’s going to get there. Sure, she’s got an army AND dragons…three of them, but is it a enough?

At this point I’m hoping Jon Snow comes out victorious, but as we’ve learned from the past six seasons, no one is safe. It’s anyone’s guess as to who will sit on the Iron Throne?! Could it be Sam? Hold the door…that would be a twist!

I just hope the dragons survive. I haven’t read the books, but I’ve heard that there will be three dragon riders. I’m guessing in order to tame and ride a dragon one must have Targaryen blood running through their veins. I think we can all agree, Dany is not the last, surviving Targaryen. Who will the three be?

….Let’s just hope that the Night King doesn’t come flying in on one of the dragons. Now that would give new meaning to the title A Song Of Fire And Ice!!

I’m anxious to see how it all plays out and if any of the fan theories are correct….only time (travel) will tell!

Leave some of your own theories in the comments if you’d like or let me know what you think of mine. Enjoy season 7!

3 Day Quote Challenge…Day 2

It’s day two of the 3 day quote challenge. I’m supposed to post 3 quotes, but just like yesterday I’m posting more. I’m such a rule breaker with this challenge!
I’ve decided to use book quotes today. There were so many good quotes to choose from it was hard to decide, so I chose the first quotes that came to mind.

I hope you enjoy reading them!

4 from The Kite Runner…one of my favorite books and filled with many good quotes. I wrote a post about the first quote back in March and I think I may write a post about the second quote in the future. The quote challenge is also good for ideas!

Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland

Here are a few from The Game of Thrones book series.

To Kill A Mockingbird

Club Dead From The Sookie Stackhouse Series

And this one from Max Lucado…I can’t remember which book it’s from.

Thank you for reading. I’d like to thank https://survivinginjapan.wordpress.com/for the nomination. I am nominating https://askriverbed.wordpress.com/ for the challenge if they would like to participate. I challenge anyone else who would like to give it a shot.

You Know Nothing…..

You Know Nothing….

Here’s a little humor and a tv show review to follow up my last post about promises….

Game of Thrones is one of my favorite tv shows and the new season starts this weekend. There were so many cliffhangers. I can’t wait to see who lived and who died. Nine months is a long time between seasons when so many lives hang in the balance.

**Warning…If you’re a fan, but not current on the last season, you may want to skip this post. I don’t want to ruin it for you!

The biggest question most fans have? Is Jon Snow dead? I hope not! As we’ve learned from season one, no one is safe. Not even the main characters.

What does this have to do with my last post and promises? It’s just a tv show. The Lannisters may always pay their debts, but the Starks always keep their word.

Well, they usually keep their word, except for that one time Rob Stark went back on his word to marry Walder Frey’s daughter and married Talisa instead. We all know how that turned out….The Red Wedding! Don’t “ghost” Frey’s daughter because he will seek revenge!

The Starks were honorable. Ned was loyal to his family and friends and didn’t shrink away from personal responsibilities. Remember this from the first episode….
“The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword”.

He may have passed Jon Snow off as his illegitimate son to his family, BUT common theory is, he made a promise to his sister to raise Jon as his own and he kept it a secret from everyone….including his wife. I can’t wait to find out why, however I think I have it figured out.

As I said previously, I always keep my word and come hell or high water, I’ll honor it! Thank goodness I don’t live in Westeros…you can lose your head there for keeping a promise!

Is Jon Snow dead? Is Arya alive? Will she be blind if she is? What about Sansa and Reek? Did they escape? Has The Mountain been reanimated? Will Cersei get her revenge? We’ll soon find out the answers to these questions and many more!

As a side note….I always thought I’d like to belong to House Stark. They’re good people, but then again, it wouldn’t be so bad to be a Targayen. Pet dragon! Need I say more! And I hope I’m not giving anything away here, but I think my favorite character may belong to both houses!
