It’s important to remember Memorial Day isn’t about backyard barbecues, a three day weekend, or the beginning of summer fun. It’s a day to honor the brave men and women who serve in our armed forces and to remember those who paid with their lives. It marks the deaths and sacrifices of many.
I urge you all to share the spirit of this holiday with your family…not just on Memorial Day, but all year long.
Adopt a soldier and send care packages. You can find many programs for this online and it would mean so much to those serving.
Attend a Memorial Day parade and feel the pride these men and women have for serving our country.
Don’t forget their families who serve as well. Mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, and children. Lend them a helping hand if they need it or simply acknowledge the sacrifices they are making or have made.
Check and see if your town has a way to give back to veterans and get involved.
If nothing else, a simple thank you for your service is a great way to let them know you care and appreciate them.
In memory of many. In honor of all. Thank you!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
